Important Update

*breaks away from the claws of reality and internship*

Everyone, listen up! I don't have much time to share this. They are tracking me down as I blog, so here it goes.
A new dawn beckons ahead for each and all of us - something that will change our lives forever, for good or for worse.

This involves EVERYONE. No one is spared from it. Everyone is involved in this 'conspiracy' throughout the globe.

People everywhere are invading shopping malls and splurging all their money on stuff that will be wrapped in fancy papers and ribbons.

These fancy gifts will then exchange owners and pass on the conspiracy spirit from one person to another.

Accompanying these gifts, are smiles and ushers of 'Merry Christmas!'

HAHA. CHRISTMAS IS BACK!

For children, Christmas is in the shape of a jolly big red guy coming down from the rooftops, armed with gifts.
For Christians, Christmas is the birth of Jesus Christ, our Saviour.
For most peeps, Christmas is synonymous with presents and dinners.

Yet, Christmas is actually about the spirit of receiving and giving things, mainly giving. It is a time for us to pledge and GIVE help to those who are in need of it. Let's show the universe how caring and considerate Earthlings can be! Don't we all want to live in a world saturated with peace, love and care? A world devoid of hatred, selfishness and bad things.

Being nice is better than being naughty right? :)

Anyway, Christmas is also the time for seeking forgiveness and forgiving too. Everyone makes mistakes. No matter how painful, shocking or bad it maybe, to forgive is the mark of a true gentleman and lady.

Why keep the grudge and waste time on it when you can rekindle that lost friendship, family ties and make your time on Earth much more memorable?

You only live once. Have no regrets.

ARGGGHHHH. I got to disappear. They found me.
Merry Christmas everyone!

The New Frontier (Part One)

21/12/2011
Wednesday
1923 hours

A lot of things can happen in two weeks.

Wait, a minute. How did I even get there? *presses the PAUSE button*
That's more like it.
Just pausing life for a moment for a chance to reflect and cherish.
So where was I?
Oh
SPM ended.
WORK began.

Packing Procrastination

Errrr...ignore the mummy and daddy part. xD.
OMGGGG. I MISS PENANG FOOD. Stuff here more expensive. Yet, if there is one thing I like here, it's the PASTA. xD (and junk food :P)

Let's return to chronological order.

Part and parcel of Starstruck's reward (Young Writers Journalism Programme by the Star), I was selected together with 15 others to intern at the Star for one month. All 16 of us are split into 4 batches. Batch 1 - Form Four peeps. Batch 2 - The home-schooled peeps. Batch 3 - Form Five peeps. Batch 4 - STPM and Chester Chin.

Over the course of one month, we are assigned to different desks respectively, mainly Features (Star2), Education, News and Metro. Yours truly was handed Features (2 weeks), Education (1 week) and News (1 week).

Yet, what's life without some fun?
*One day before Internship Batch 3 begins*

Jumped on Aeroline bus and headed straight for KL on a sunny Sunday morning. Amanda was on the same bus too so we talked and talked and talked and talked and talked all the way to the Land of Mud. 4-5 hours of non-stop talking. xD

Time flies fast when you are enjoying it no?

Some random pics :P (Credits Amanda)

When going outstation, accommodation would always be a major headache - especially when you are just a teen with little cash. Thankfully, Alicia offered up her place for night. Ellora the Sarawakian would also stay there as well - in separate rooms of course.

LEPAK AT ONE UTAMA! LEPAK AT ONE UTAMA!

Dinner time swiftly came (that enjoying time thing must have something to do with it) and 7 of the Starstruck peeps met up at One Utama. What happened next? Priceless moments summed up in two rage comics. :")
Starring : Kyle Supershine Chan, Amanda, Alicia, Ellora, Le Shea, Wee Nie, Michelle.

This is what happens when vegetarian Amanda tastes meat after a very long, loooong, looooong time.

Who needs credit cards to pay the bill? USE COINS! :D

We went on separate ways at 9 pm as a new life beckons ahead the next day for Amanda, Ellora and myself. Alicia and Michelle had started their internship earlier (Remember the different batches?). Le Shea and Wee Nie would later join us for the YNN video journalism camp as prize for emerging 'cream of the crop' in the lower secondary writers category.

I admit I had butterflies in my stomach as I prepared to sleep that very night.

No more school. No more teachers. No more exams.

Just strangers. Just assignments. Just deadlines.

Just MORE STRESS.

Just the new frontier of life.

Return to Blogdom

Wednesday.
21st December 2011.
3.34 p.m

Stuck in Menara Star, Level 3A.
Assignments : Non-existent (For today)
Boredom Level : Blogger-able

So, here I am. Left with relatively nothing to do but to view other Starstruck-ers' blogs and turn green with envy.  (I'm blaming this new blog on you guys...mainly Michelle, Ann-Marie, Ellora and Amanda...:P)

As I type these words, Ann-Marie is pestering me to join the other interns for tea and Alicia sits 'patiently' beside me waiting to go.

Darn, it's already 3.39 pm.
Bet there are some cranky people waiting already :P

Hi. The name is Kyle Supershine Chan.
And this is my return to blogdom.
Stay tuned for more!
